Unhappy Please help - still sluggish 150sri

    Hi all,

I had a new manifold and actuator fitted yesterday, my 06 sri 1.9cdti 150 is still really sluggish under where the turbo kicks in the engine feels cleaner and a bit more smooth now thats replaced but there still feels like somethings holding it back

he replaced the manifold, cleaned the egr and cleaned the boost sensor.
anyone any other ideas what could be wrong please, before yesterday i noticed when the weathers damp and rainy the car drives like a dream but when its warm and dry its like a huge slug

i did order a replacement airflow sensor from ebay but had 2 now and both cause engine management light and limp mode, but didnt realise they are not proper bosch parts but replacements, so ive asked for my money back. i found another supplier of bosch one for about £80 wonder if thats the fault

    im running out of ideas

    any advice please?

    Chris

    Hi mate,

I had the sluggish under 2000rpm issue, in fact it wouldnt move, and in the end I got a Brand New EGR Valve on it and it worked a treat, much to my surprise.

I Had cleaned out about 3 EGR Valve's fitted about 5 different one's and even a Brand New one off the bay of E, but until the New one from Vx was fitted, the problem remained!

I know its another cost but if you can get 100% confirmation that your EGR Valve is scuppered, you will find that its the best £100 you will spend!

    Hope this helps.

Check my threads, I had LOADS of issues!

Best of luck pal, I feel your pain mate, I really do!

    Thanks, G.

Temporarily blank the EGR, just to see if this is the cause, its amazing how this causes these problems, nearly new or not.

Or disconnect the bleeder as I did....which also resulted in a return of low end power.

    Hi guys,

Can i unplug the connector from the egr valve to test it? or would u recommend taking the 4 bolts out and putting something behind it like cardboard as a temp block?

    Cheers for your help
