Not sure about markets as the second hand value seems to have increased since the gvmnt scrapage scheme has ended. Was looking to price mine up a while back and was surprised to see what some are selling for still.

The interest off local d1cks was not worth it, plus as you said the market has improved slightly. I spent a lot, but fell out of love

I paid 2995 for my bog standard 2003 1.8 LS with 35K and FVXSH at a main VX Dealer including all the dints and scratches removed, new rear light cluster and heater motor. So 2K aint bad for a private.

It isn't mine though it is to be my dads i had this arguemtn with some less desirable forum members a while back regarding insurance etc. And to confirm i am insured legally, i was pulled for speeding a bit near mine, was cleaed but all checks on MOT insurance where absolutle fine.

Miss the Vec a lot but the e39 is a beautoful car.

I keep looking at the 760i v12 as sort of a second car running one would not be fun maybe in a good few months we will see something else may catch my eye
