    Default keyfob / key

I have to send my keyfob insides to get new buttons soldered on as my key aint working at all
My problem is i only have the 1 key
I have tried taking the actual key blade off the keyfob and tried to use just the key but the car alarm still goes off and the immobilser stops the key from starting the car A symbol appears on the dash like a padlock it must know i have seperated the blade from the keyfob
Is there a way around it so i can send my keyfob part off and keep the key blade....or have i gotta walk / get the bus for a few days
i have the 3 button type from a vectra c 53 plate like this 1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-3-BUT...item255bbf1e34 ta ta ta

there is a small black chip inside your keyfob the ignition reads this when you put the key in and it then turns off the imobiliser so if you remove that and tape it to the blade itself then it should work fine, as for the alarm going off, if you lock the car with the key manually in the door, the alarm shouldnt go off when you unlock it with the key(in theory)

im sure that when you lock the car with the key fob it then arms the alarm in the process,

perhaps this would be a good time to invest in a spare key?

My new key cost £105 from a VX dealer (had to get the car pass as well).

This was a 'special price' as I'd just bought the car from them.

There is no chip in the vectra c key blades, the remote itself is the transponder...
