Piece of cake Martin. I followed the measuring instructions HERE.
Measure twice, cut once as the old saying goes. I removed the boot carpet and then removed the black plastic area beside the boot catch. I used the grommet that takes the cable for the rear number plate lights through the back panel as my route for the cables. I just cut a large cross in the grommet, obviously watching that I didn't damage any cables. Hardest part is adding the locking ring to the rear of the sensors because by leaving the bumper on your working blind, however once you get it on small stubby screwdriver helps aid them home. Mounted the control box inside the rear wing beside the fuse box. and ran the beeper inside the boot lining and out through one of the 3 holes near the parcel shelf hinge.
Job done in 1 hour 10 minutes, and the Silver is a very good match on my car too, very pleased.

    Wink

Left hand cubby hole, where the horns mounted. FWIW, I did mine last monday, and was very proud of myself (only ever changed a bulb before!!), using the How2 from here. Took about 2 and a half hours. Mine were £16 from Ebay, and the silver is a good match on a Star Silver Vectra - as good a match as the bumper to the rest of the car

Yes. Mine is, as Fishmichael says, in the left hand cubbyhole, beside the rear fuse box, where the first-aid box goes.

Mines a facelift, only got the bulb warning with the ignition on and lights unplugged, so I know it works. Had no problems/warnings or anything at all with mine. You're only taking a feed from the reverse light cable, so not actually interfering with any bulbs.
