    Talking "The Italian Box".

My son has just ordered a K&N panel filter and "The Italian" tuning box for his 1,9 CDTI 120 vectra.
Does anyone on here have one or know anything about the box?,if so,we would love to hear from you.Anyway, will be posting the results as soon as there is a chance to "test it" properly!!!.Watch this space.Felixx.

To be honest I'd be wary of any cheap tuning box, yes there will be gains, but at what cost??

Well, tuning box arrived on monday but we couldn't fit it till this evening as the weather here has been awful,(pouring down most of the time).Anyway,at tea time, the sky was clear and sunny, not a rain cloud in sight.
We took the engine cover off and proceeded to unclip the connector from the common rail etc, etc,(as described in the HOW 2 section).I must say, even with the step by step instructions and those brilliant photographs,it was still a S**t of a job.Eventually got the connector off and fitted the box connector, great so far, then came to fit the pressure sensor connector into the box connector and guess what?????? Yes, youv'e guessed right, the female box connector was the wrong fitting!!!!!!!F********************ck!!!
Anyway, have emailed them for a new cable and will just have to wait now and see what they come back with.Hopefully we will eventually be able to get the car out on the road and give you a decent performance report.
(I'm not gonna be standing on one leg or holding my breath tho).Felixx.

Got it sorted, they had put a yellow security/safety clip on the plug.Fitted eveything up and started the car.Everything fine, tick over dropped slightly to just over 9k reved ok with no problems at all.
Took it out on the road,F**K ME!!!!!!,it was like a formula 1 racing car,and that was on the setting that it had been sent from Italy with.It got turned up to the three o'clock position and my son told me it was unbelievable. It actually scared him!!.Turning it up to its top position tonight and hope that I'm still around to give you an update.Watch this space!.

you can shread your tyres with the torque. Its not wheelspin its just your still geared for a lot less than your pulling and they eat tyre tread.
