As it's a 54 plate it's when they changed from half can to full can so could have an NCDC radio (if it has 6 buttons on the steering wheel for half can) or a CD70 (if it has buttons and scroll wheels for full can).

Which is rubbish compared to the likes of tom-tom. Also, it won't take postcodes.

The NCDR 2011, NCDC2013 and NCDC2015 are all half can Sat Nav CD radio systems, which are quite basic.
As said above, you will need to see what steering wheel controls you have, before deciding upon your options.

The CD70 Navi is a CD, MP3 CD and sat nav unit. The bonus of the CD70, is that it comes with free TMC...in the old days the NCDC radios used TM or traffic master, and these usually required a subscription.

However it is just as cheap to get one of these all singing and dancing CD, DVD, DAB, DVB, aux-in, bluetooth and sat nav double din units from China / Hong Kong.
Most people have had good / reasonable experience with these units, however some of the earlier ones did go belly up.

but the question has to be asked - why has it not got a unit in it?
and be careful as most "generic" ads will say state that the units HAVE satellite navigation when they didnt

so it may only have the aerial and wiring for a standard unit and not a sat nav unit - what sort of an aerial base is fitted to the car ???

I had the ncdc2013 in mine , until about a week ago. It functions as a sat nav and will get you where you want to go , but its not as good as tom tom as it wont let you input postcodes.
Does sound like you have the satnav antenna though
