Default Signum 2.0T Engine Cuts Out

Not sure if this should be in the Engine or Electrics Section
    2003 Signum 2.0T Design
Engine has cut out three time while driving and will not restart for between 20 mins and 1 hour
EML light on but has been for some time with an O2 sensor
Using the accelerator/brake methos had three Codes
Battery seems ok (cleaned up soem blue powder acid around the + terminal but no other battery problems - turns/start ok normally
    0138 - O2 Sensor
    0601 - Control Module Memory ?
    0037 - Heater Control Circuit
Tried Spare Key - no difference
Thought it may be heat related as run at home for 30-40 mins until Eng Temp reached around 85-90 before cutting out (so not vibration related?), but last night, died after about 1 mile.
Have had a jiggle around of connectrs/wiring whilst running and no effect.
Looked at a few connectors (ECU/ABS) that have been problems for others, but no corrosion or problems apparent.
    Breakdown guy suggested Crankshaft Sensor?
Appreciate any thoughts and where is this Sensor located - easy to get to and change? - I have Ramps and range of tools.
    Thanks in advance!

Another guy on here is having similar problems with his diesel. Starts when cold runs OK until it's switched off, and then won't start when hot until after a few attempts. Diagnosis seems to be 'iffy' crank sensor.

sounds like the high pressure fuel pump. fuel regulator i read some where on here about that same fault. parts cost over £300 but can be repaired by replacing a rubber seal.
i never done it, but i read some where on here, a do a search

saying if you the car is fully hot and you turn car off, it wont start until the pump cools down

    Thanks - will check both those;
How close are Vectra Workshop Manuals to the similar Engine Signums for areas such as Engine, Gearbox, Steering etc - need to get a good location diagram for these parts I need to check
    Cheers

The Vectra and Signum Engine and Drivetrains are identical, In my opinion it does sound like a crank sensor issue, To be honest I didn't think the 2.0T suffered with the fuel pressure pump/regulator problem I thought it was the 2.2 Direct Y22SE/YH engine and yours is a Z20NET. Benny might be the man for that question he is somewhat of a god with those engines.

It's worth changing the fuel filter, as it only costs a few pounds.

The crankshaft position sensor is (according to Haynes) located "on the front surface of the cylinder block, at the transmission end" (passenger side in other words). I think it's under the plastic engine cover.
