I feel you people are my friends so I need to tell you about yesterday.
It started fantastically, we've had a Merc SL 500 on trial for 3 days, yesterday was my day in it, so last night after work I spent the evening driving this monster around with various people feeling like a king.
I got back & was relaxing when the phone goes, as soon as I answered I could tell something was wrong.
It was Morrisons, my mom works there, A lady said she fell over & they think she broke her arm.
Straight off to the store & although I prepared myself to see her, I didn't dream of what I'd see.
She was on the floor & looked like she'd been hit by a steam roller.
Her arm was absolutely dreadful, at a wrong angle & twisted round. Horrific.
I never want to see that sight again in my life, with anyone it's bad but your mom?
You want to scoop her up & take her away.
We got her in the Ambulance & to A&E & they sedated her & treated her, it's badly dislocated, we were there till 4, but at least she was more comfortable, although the arm joint is not stable.
They had to drug her like mad to manipulate the arm. Thank god they asked me to wait outside, I don't think I could have wached this.
Shes now in a ward & they say she needs surgery today but are waiting for the consultant to decide what they are going to do.
I've come home for a few minutes cos there's nothing I can do at the mo & they don't like us there until the visiting starts later, which I can understand.
Sorry everyone but I needed to get that off my chest. Writing it helps.
The main thing I keep saying is it could've been worse, legs, or head etc. so it doesn't seem like it but maybe she's lucky.
