    Default AirCon and airflow

Driving back from a journey today and never noticed it before, but when aircon is on and fan speed on 0 there is no difference between that and speed 1 and you can feel a reasonable airflow thru the face level vents , however, if aircon is turned off, the airflow drops right off when fan is on 0 position , then , when turned to position 1 you can feel the airflow which feels the same as position 0 with aircon on, if any of that makes any sense!! it would appear all fan speeds are working ok particularly when aircon is off , has any one else noticed this? don't think it's an issue, just never noticed it before!!
    Cheers Pete

Yes its normal mine is the same if you turn aircon on with fan off it automatically turns on fan at speed 1 .My dads Astra H is the other way around, the aircon will not turn on unless you have the fan on at least speed 1.

Funnily enough this is why I hadn't noticed it before as I always turn fan to No.1 when aircon is on thinking that that turns it on as it has been in previous cars, it was only when the missus turned the fan to 0 as she was getting a bit chilly I noticed there was no change in fan speed, funny old cars eh!! LOL

Mine does the same thing. Another odd one with mine is that with the AC on fan speed seven (max), the airflow only feels as fast as it would on 4 or five with the AC off. Anyone else have this?
