Hi i've been asking the same on here & i've been told 235/40/18 are a better match to the 215/50/17 tyres & wheels on my sri. They're also slightly cheaper than 225/45/18's.

Not sure if this'll be ok but i'm sure the guys at AOC won't mind.

There's a Tyre Calculator on their home page that's pretty good

235/40/18 are -0.25% out so 70 on the clock is 69.83 mph
225/45/18 are +1.99% out so 70 on the clock is 71.39 mph

You'll have to have 8" wide rims to fit the 235's or they'll be stretched and won't fit that profile anyway, whereas the 225's will go on 7.5's without a problem.

    These are the available choices:

    Tyre code Diameter Circumference Difference
    ---------- -------- ------------- ----------
    225/40 R18 637 mm 2001 mm -1.48 %
    235/40 R18 645 mm 2026 mm -0.25 %
    245/40 R18 653 mm 2051 mm 0.99 %
    215/45 R18 651 mm 2045 mm 0.6 %
    225/45 R18 660 mm 2073 mm 1.99 %

I have 235/40/R18's on my 18 inch snowflakes and they look perfect with those tyres, tyres are reasonable prices too
