I have a CDTI and want to spruce up the engine and engine bay etc. However,I am a little concerned with all those connectors going to all sorts of sensors getting wet.
What's the best thing to do to prevent any issues or problems?Felixx.

Don't go throwing soapy water in there, then rinse off with the hosepipe !
Get an old toothbrush and do a little area at a time. The brush will get into all the nooks and crannys.
Wipe off the residue with an old MF cloth.
Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !
Baby wipes!!!
Doubt me? well try it then report back, I always have a pack in my detailling bag for every part of the car they work a treat from fabric seats to disc de-greasing!
Now stop sniggering and go try it
do like i am drop all the fluids and strip everything tie all the plugs up with cling film and scrutinisely clean the whole engine bay polishing everything and polish everything as ya put it back
I just preasure washed mine, it was fine..... Have you seen the ammount of spray thats in there on the motorway on a rainy day? I reckon a hose pipe would wet the bay less.....
