Default What RPM dows your Vecct tickover at?

Hey folks. My Vectra (2.2 SRI Direct) ticks over at an annoying 700 (there abouts) I've had the battery and alternator checked and all is fine. Also i had the throttle body cleaned out but still it seems to be searching when ticking over. This is my first Vectra so am i worrying about nothing?

Are you saying that you think 700 is too high, or too low?

My 1.8 ticks over at 700 and its fine. The lower the better. It uses less feul and causes less wear at tick over.

Many Japanese cars have high tick overs and it really really annoys me....
