    Default fitting new brake lights...

hi guys, as the title says i have to fit sum new lights and need advice. i have 2 out, one on each side at the back, i have a vec c estate, one is the outer light on one side, and the other is the inner light on the other side. How do i go around it in laymans terms, and do i need any special tools. Are they the same bulb, and has anyone got a part no., and maybe a recommended place to get sum, or shud i just bite the bullet and go to the stealers parts counter.

    cheers

To replace the brake lights in an estate.

You need to remove the light panel. Looking into each rear corner you will see three grey trianguler knobs. Unscrew these and the light panel will come off. Remove the electrical connector and then replace the bulb. Fitting is a reverse of removal.

    Easy

The reason you have odd brake lights is that the vectra compensates for the broken bulb. You only have one bulb out. You just have to work out which one.

Only tool needed is a hand.

to remove the cover on the bootlid to come to the lights in the tail gate,

you have to remove the screw in the inside handel, and on the outer edge you will need to remove the clips before just pulling..

cheers guys, ive had a quick look, and replaced the duf one in the tailgate, and it still doesnt work, so im leading to believe that it is ok, and just not working due to the reason stated above.. ive had a look at the one in the corner, i can only see one grey knob to upscrew on the inside, do i have to remove any interior trim to get access to the unlocking screws, if so how, i know sum trim just pops out, but others screw out, and i dont want to damage anything... thanks in advance...

ps, on the signum pics on how 2, it just states, remove the stowage door, and unscrew the 3 screws, but the piccy seems to show more of the bones of the car, as if sum trim has been removed as well. ???

remove the 3 srews, then you can take your light out (the hole light) then theres 3 srews more to get to the bulps itself.
