    If you can convert your car to rwd and get the gearbox, axle etc why not, I'd give it a go but they dont do a diesel version lol and 4mpg isn't too appealing to me, I used to run a range rover 4.6 V8 and that was bad enough doing 17-21mpg.

    too much work for me - would it be higher than 3 spanners?

    I can only do 3 spanners............lol

    much cutting and welding to the floorpan to accomodate the propshaft, definately a 5 spanner job that one, wouldnt mind buying a scrap shell to have a go at it tho would be interesting to say the least.

    would you fancy trying to make that work fwd dez? I think the fiiting instrustions are just for wiring and plumbing etc as that engine can (and does) fit a lot of different cars. Imagine that tho, a 638bhp fwd vectra!! imagine how many front tyres you'd eat lol

    It has been done in an Astra Coupe. Not supercharged, but a 5.7 LS2 V8 running 400bhp. A guy called Pete Mann built it about 2 years ago.

    Massive job though, he fabricated everything to make it rear wheel drive.
