Default What amp to get for my pioneer 12"

Ive got a juice 2400 amp at mo and a 1000w 12" pioneer sub. The sub cuts out when i think the amp is getting overheated. Then it comes back on again...so i think its time for a change of amp.

But what amp to go with the sub?
Hearing contrasting things ...also mono block or 2 channel...whats the major difference?

What Pioneer sub is it? Are you running it in a sealed, ported or vented box?
Mono blocks are primarily for running subs through a single channel, 2 channel subs run speakers through 2 or 1 channel so are a bit more versatile.

Just put a fan on the amp, thats whats cutting out, not the sub. Something like this Fan here. Just connect it to the switched live and earth on the amp. I had the same issue years ago, I added 2 of these fans blowing across the heat sinks of the amps, works a treat. If you do decide to change the amp get a dedicated mono sub amp or at least a 2 channel amp that can be bridged.

Might be worth investigating why the amp is overheating. Where is it mounted? Is it upside down or enclosed?
