P1112 Swirl flaps

Vectra 2.2i - eng mang light came on. I checked it with meter and cleared it- I have been doing this for a few months - every 1/2 days the light comes on again. Took to the dealer they diagnosed stock swirl flap - £400 + another £200 to fit them. That was a week ago - the eng mang light has not come on since. Should I proceed with the suggested repair. The car runs fine even with the light on and does not lack power - 41K on the clock. Any advice would be welcome.

the actuator rod gets stuck. unlike the 1.9's the flaps are just the inlet gaskets. bit fiddly to get the manifold out though worst bit. up to you doesn't bother you then don't worry might sort the bit getting stuck on its own

had mine on for a while due to swirl flap error.took it to local garage which they sprayed lots of carb cleaner in manifold to clean the rod.
worked a treat not been on since
