Wing mirror

Hi guys, the glass on my wing mirror fell off the other day leaving the heater in place. I got a replacement but how do you remove the old one?

If it's the plastic backing your trying to remove it just unclips

No its not, its the actual mirror glass

If it's just the glass you've bought i.e from halfords or the likes, then where the original glass was attached (on the black heater plate that's left) give it a clean up then peel backing off your new one and stick it on. If it's the one you've bought from Vx dealer that has two electrical terminals on it, then place your fingers in between the mirror surround and the black heater plate and just prise it outwards and it should come off as it's clipped in, don't pull it out too far as there are the two wires attached at the back of it that need to be connected on to the new one, HTH
