    Default Possible water pump problem

It would appear i have like hamster running on a wheel sound coming from the drivers side of the engine. I have searched the threads and this seems most plausable as i have no idea when it was last changed.
My car has the 2.2 dti lump & i have no experience of changing pumps on these engines, are they fairly straight forward to do? Also whilst the aux belt is off what else should i be looking for squealing - tensioner - aircon pump - alt - crank pulley anything else?

Could be the dmf. Does it get quieter when the clutch is pressed in about half way?

Forgive me for sounding ignorant but is the dmf not over the other side of the car (passenger side). I get this noise on tickover when im outside the car so i dont see how it can be the d.m.f.
It does tend to go after a while sometimes but other times it tends to be there permenantly.
