hi all is it only me or does any one else have the same problem, the ash tray will not stay in it always keeps popping back out , is there a fix to this or does it require a new one.

Does it on my Signum too! What I kept meaning to try was bending the little spring metal bit a bit more to see if that held it closed any better.

Does this on Mrs D's mota but i put it down to the kids kicking the bells out of it when they get in ...........................Bless em !!!!!

tried that duncan , i install central heating systems every day can be a bit complicated at times (but the ash tray has me beat)

I had to bend the spring clip on mine, it seems to have done the trick...

had the same prob - i just bought a new one, £4 from ebay - fixed it.

some must just be dodgy!

I think if you bend the clip out a bit it might hold the ash tray in better, can,t remember which way I bent it now.

Is the problem that it always opens gas man? or that it physically falls out the console as a unit. Blue tac is ace for holding stuff in place or stopping rattles. I've always got some tucked in the storage pocket in the boot!

mine got abused at some point during its life and the the little plastic runner is broken at the bottom, so when it does open its a pain to get it closed again!!!

but if i can get a new one from ebay for 4 quid then thats a result!! but i've not seen them on there though.
