    Default please help

i cant access the problem page and i need some advice before i call the dealer

i used to have a vectra gsi that i sold a year or two ago and need a run a round for the dog etc so went and bought a vectra b 1998 2.5 v6 cdx auto estate and the climate control has stopped running properly

it all lights up, you can select high to low on the blower, high to low and all the temperature in-between but it will not blow HOT air

i have looked at the fuses and all seem ok, even thought it might be the front control panel as the back lights were not working so bought a replacement off ebay and that all works fine now but still no hot air

i have found that there are like 6 valves in the system, could one of them gone?

if so other than putting it into the dealer and hooking it to a diagnostic machine is there are common valve or sender that goes that can be easily replaced

please can some one point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it

    thanks

    steve

Look in the drivers footwell, behind the centre console, you kind of have to stand on your head.

There are a couple of actuator arms that go vertically upwards, one of these had come off on mine and it then only blew cold.

with the car warm and the fan going if you move this bar by hand you will feel the warm air, i was able to reattach the bar and this resolved the problem

    Good luck

Sorry i have no idea what they are for (or if the 2nd is definately there)

I just recall i had the same problem on a CDX the winter before last, when it was at it coldest and this fixed it.

Best thing to do is to have a look see if there is something disconnected on that side, if there is thats your problem if not I dont know.

I dont have the car any more so am unable to check anything. But it is obviously wrong when you look
