Default black smoke and intercoler pipe

    I need some help!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Black smoke coming from exhaust on acceleration now and then. I have cleaned the boot sensor, egr valve ages ago - no change... and today have checked the intercoler pipe and other small pipes around looking for splits.

I took apart the intercoler pipe and there is OIL INSIDE. Is this normal???

There are no splits or holes in any other pipes around. There is a faint split in a small 3 way connector which I have masked with silver tape. See pic with red arrow...

Can anyone help with the black smoke issue? The car spanner and car light pops up when I put the car in high revs on motorway

Also - the pic with me holding a connector.. should this be attached to anything.. I found it tucked away at the front...

    Please guyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys

Have you made your own pipework on that? if you have i would suggest checking your own work and if you are using couplers to make sure they have a rib over them or they will come off as i found when i upgraded my intercooler. i would also recommend using t-clips instead of jubilee as they will hold the pipes better

How do? i'd check the intercooler too. I had smoke from mine when i went uphill. the little bit of oil in the turbo system is normal and it was that that was running onto the exhaust causing some smoke. You might be able to see if the intercooler is split by looking at the front radiator and seeing if there's any oil spots on it from the intercooler behind

To check for boost leaks in pipework or intercooler you need someone to hold the revs down on boost about 2.5k while you have a good look and feel.

It will be very easy to tell if you do have a leak... lots of hissing as the pipework expands
