F**k**s hit my door !!!

Hi All,

Across the road had a party the other night, came out the morning after, & my drivers door has been hit, by a reversing car!!!!

I got no proof, so I can't go steaming over .

Mate at bodyshop advised a new door, as I have creases in panel that will not com out, & I dont want a door full of filler.

I managed to get hold of a tidy door, same colour, from an Elite (mine is a Club). Question is,

1. How difficult is it to strip the glass out, as I need to put my original back in (its been tinted).

2. Are electrics compatible (plug'n'play), or will I have to reprogram anything?

I am gonna invest in CCTV. This is the second time this has happened in as many months, the £300 its gonna cost for the repair, could have been recovered from the guilty party!!!!

bad news mate....

with that amount of damage there must have been some paint transferrance ? also if you suspect a guilty party then offer them the chance to come clean ..... before you go to the police and report it as a non stop road traffic collision that they would have to investigate - it doesnt take a rocket scientist a degree to back up an offending vehicle to compare height /impact marks

You will probaly only need to change over your PDM, the rest should work/fit.

but you might need to change doormirror, doorloom to.. as it maby for memory seats ect.

There were around 8-12 'guest' cars, as well as taxis that were coming & going. Also, I must consider general traffic passing/trying to pass. Too many possibilities to try & pin it on anyone, without proof. So unless a witness comes forward, I am gonna have to bite the bullet, & make sure it don't happen again, with the aid of technology.

bad that mate,happended to me other week when england played some **** decided to jumt all over my windowscreen,so i went out spent £179 on a ctv camera set up and 320 gig hard drive in the box,and it records for 416 days without stopping so i leave it on 24 hours a day,anyone touch my car now lol there ****ed

Sorry to hear about this, far too much of it going on - presumably if they'd been at party didn't fancy getting breathalysed and not got the bottle to face you or leave a note.
Did any of the guest cars have blue paint? The "neighbours friend" who shunted Wendy's old car backwards has been back several times - parks well away from us now, guilty or what. Considering security cams, seen some that can run or be triggered by movement, record day or night and store to hard drive.
Sounds OTT but with so much of this sort of thing going on what option do we all have?

I just had this with my wifes focus. I am not very good at this sort of thing but changed lock, window and regulator, loom and wing mirror over, no fuss. Took me a few hours mind! Good luck!
