    Default Help With Fuel Filter

    Am in the middle of trying to unscrew the filter case on a 150 cdti the arrows are showing to unscrew it clockwise?? its as tight as heck. Does anyone know the correct way to undo this so i can change the element? Thanks

    go against the arrows they are to tighten i found best way was put it in a clamp not too tight and use a hammer and blunt punch

    ok will try to undo it i have a three legged remover to help but i dont have a vice to clamp it into. Thanks for help.

    Have got it all put back but when starting up there is fuel leaking from the bottom of filter. worried now does it have to be real tight when screwing back up have taken it off again and not sure why its leaking i put the new seal on it

    You may have overtightened it and distorted the seal.

    Panic over, i took it off again and re seated it reconnected everything and its not leaking now.....thank you for all help.
