    Default Possible wheel bearing problem

Car has had 3 viewers since being up for sale.

    Problem below

About 6 months ago, i was forced to mount a flat edge curb about 4 inches high (90 degrees from ground level, not a tappering one) This was about 40mph and buckled the wheel. Even with the new wheels i have since Feb, there is still a droaning noise between 50-65mph. Below 50 it isn't really noticable, above 70 it is just a slight vibration through the steering.

The wish bone and other components show no signs of trouble, and it did pass its MOT ok. What exactly would such impact cause to bend or mishape, as it is clear this accident caused this problem. I have since had 4 wheel alignment done, so tracking should be fine.

Its preventing the car from selling thus far.

A wheel bearing will give movement in the wheel when you jack it up and try to rock it top to bottom. Its more likely that the person who has ballanced the wheels has put too much weight on them, its a well known fact that vectras are prone to picking up slight problems with a wheel thats not quite balanced.
