ifIf it’s a non sri specced 'sxi', ie fitted with normal springs and non sri bumpers then I'd go for standard issue sri springs. It will lower it just the right amount, still be a Vauxhall part which they probably wont even notice under warranty, and it maintains the ride comfort. Worked a treat on my Elite.

You might get away with standard Vx SRi springs, but be careful using other aftermarket springs that give you a drop of 30mm or more. As I found with mine, the standard Vx shocks do not work correctly with lowering springs. If you want to lower the car then my advice would be to look at both springs and shocks being changed together, there's plenty of kits around for the Vec-C now and the only real restraint is how much money you can afford to spend on it.

Also been contemplating replacing the springs on my 3.2 elite to improve the ride/handling. Seen Andy's previous posts about fitting SRi springs, but are all SRi springs the same regardless of which engine is fitted?

Think the springs have to match the weight of the car, not sure though. Someone will correct me if im wrong
