Thumbs up K&n Pannel filter on cdti 150

hi guys i no this may have been mentioned before. but i wanted to know is it worth getting a k&n pannel for the veccy.... ive had a remap, removed boxes from the exhaust and done the de-cat which has made a diffrence top end.. ive read posts where some say the filter wont do a thing.. in other cases ive read they are good, so just wanted to know is it worth the 40 quid. ive had them in petrol cars and did notice diffrence but havnt had one for a diesel. this will make me decide for deffo..

    Thanks

I'm on my first diesel, I bought one on the grounds even if it doesn't make a difference (you did do the airbox mods?) it'll be the last one you need to buy as the K & N can be cleaned and re oiled.

I did airbox mod, improved cold air feed and stuck in a K&N on my diesel vec when i had one, did feel more responsive and faster at top end. It was rolling roaded but not before / after each effort, it was the older 2.2 dti but managed 152 bhp IIRC (had a Tunit box fitted at great expense).

    Arrow Felixx.

Just thought I would add, that when I received my piper cross filter, their info sheet pointed out that they had done a lot of development in F1 racing with a carbon fibre/foam blend filter to help with the air flow/weight difficulties that are crucial to the F1 cars performance.
