I have had through rental, hundred's of them like Vectra's and the main thing that prevented me going for the latest Mundano is the sheer size, it is a similar thing with the Insignia they are big BIG motors where a mkIV mondeo is a lithe chuckable weapon cross country the new one is just on the verge of feeling cumbersome on some routes I use.

Now the Mk 1 Mondy? well I will never forget the first time I got one to play with on hire, a dark solid blue K plate 1.8LX that felt like the starship enterprise after my old Sierra GLS 2.0 8 valve, for a start it was well made AND!!! went round corners,,,,,

Prefer the "feel" of my current Vectra to the Mondy still.

I can actually say I have never owned a Ford. Driven a few mind and in the past they could teach Vauxhall a thing or two about drivability.

Not any more though, the Insignia is a far better drive than the latest Mondeo (Which I did test drive when was looking to change from the Insignia)

The latest Mondeo is a very nice car, I drove the Titanium X with Sport pack estate. Not alot wrong with it but it is getting a bit dated now.

The Insignia is better built and drives alot better.

My Ghia X died about 5/6 weeks ago and I bought the V6 CDTi Vectra as a replacement for it. The Ghia X is on that famous auction site for sale as she stands, but needs an engine.
