    confused Vectra C 2.0 l SXI petrol turbo

    How easy is it to change the turbocharger on the 2.0l SXI petrol?
    Mine has just let go big time smoke!

    Ah right, rear mounted then! well i can't comment as i have never swapped a turbo on one of those yet but i can see it being a little bit of a chew if only for the reason of leaning over the car to get to it!

    i removed mine to have broken studs repaired and its actually alot easier than it looks

    Thanks for the advice. I have started taking it off, and am down to two rather inaccessible nuts. Small extension bar should do it tonight. Lots of oil feeds and water feeds, but no sods of nuts/broken studs, so far have behaved themselves very well.
    That will probably be the kiss of death for the last one!

    If you pm Deztroyer he has his old 2.0T turbo off a few times when he was doing a saab turbo conversion.

    Jobs a good'n - Midland Turbos did a rebuild. Back on, and fingers crossed seems fine.
    5 hours to remove, 4 hours back on with a service. I'm a happy man!
