Default What Aircon pump for 2.2 direct SRI pre facelift

    Hi
I think my aircon compressor is dead ( burning smell before it stop working ) and need replacing.
I found on ebay some taken from 2.2 elite with part number GM 09225560 but on my is GM 13191996, does it mean they are same?

    Advice please...

The best way to check is the number as on this vectra 'c' comp -CC2.
Then check the 'gm number' (it's not the part number as in the vaux catalogue). Unfortunately they are often different on the same type of car due to way the hoses connect and at what angle.
The manufacturers type is SVD7V16 but it is then made with loads of different casings/mounts. On a vectra this is on the side facing the radiator and unfortunately can't be easily seen without taking off the under shield.
I can recommend a vauxhall specialist of used compressors (£60 in good condition) , 01706 226492, 07973266812 MOB. Next day delivery.

PS ensure that the aircon guy flushes the system completely if it is the innards of the compressor that have seized (rather than the the clutch coil) - if there is swarf left inside it will kill the replacement in minutes or at least a few weeks.

If it's exactly the same number then it is 'the same' and can be switched between models (and makes sometimes).

seems you can get later models easily - but this type circa 2005 are difficult to find (more demand?) - suppose just keep looking on ebay for a breaker or bite the bullet at £265 new.....

    Default Which Compressor?

Does anyone know or has tried to see if the KP2 or WM indent Compressors will fit on a CC2 intended Model? Best quote so far is £250 for a Genuine GM Model.

Some of the people out there want that much for a reconned one!!

I like the £60 version but Mel (thats the guys name) doesnt have one in my size!!

Mozzer99 I see your in or around the Brizzel area like myself, do you have any good contacts around these parts that might be able to magic one up for me?

    Thanks in advance.

    keith.

I am in the exact same position as you. It was confirmed today that my compressor is dead. The dealer wants £800 for a new one but recommended looking for a second hand one. I thought there would be plenty of used ones on ebay but found the same as yourself.... They all seem to be KP2 models.

This seems to be the model fitted to most 1.9 cdti's but not ours. My car is 2005 reg so it must be around this time that they fitted a different compressor. The CC2 models seem to be very rare. I guess i'll just keep trying the breakers.

    Default Expensive

    Euro car parts.
Thank you for your online parts request.

I am pleased to say that the OE Part number provided (13171593) cross referenced and gave me an ECP number (232220280)

Please call our mail order line on 0208 956 5153 for price and to place an order.

Called and they wanted £292. I said I could get a GM one for £240 they said they could do it for £242? I wounder what they would of said if I said £150?
