Dreaded pre 2k lag - its got me !!

Hi all,

Sorry in advance, was looking for old posts, but was too tired to find one.

Have been away for a couple of weeks, collected my car from Gatwick, & drove the 70 miles home. No problems. Got back into the car 2 hours later to go to Luton Airport, & it felt like I was trying to pull away with a B-52 bomber on tow!!!!

Then, returning 6 hours later, car a bit better, but not as it was before ??????

Its an 06 1.9 CDTI Auto Estate with 39k miles.

Any help please.

manifold or egr are the most common faults

1.9 CDTI....= Failed

3.0 owners = "err, 3 is bigger than 1.9 therefore it must be better "



With it changing quickly like that, its likely to be a sticking EGR at fault mate.
