Default My Diesel Hates Hot Days

As it was probably the hottest day so far i noticed once again on leaving work how my car struggles to get any power up. Foot nearly to the floor to get it moving!
Is this common with Diesels i know the V6 vectra B hates hot incoming air and always performed best on cold mornings of dense air.
My present engine is the 150 cdti.

You have a problem as mine is fine (same as yours). Think you need to lift the bonnet and do a few checks
Lois Griffin: Peter! You're bribing your daughter with a car?
Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

I did notice, a couple of weeks back, when we had a few very hot days, that my running temperature went from it's usual rock steady 85 degrees to 90. Still well within limits, just noticed it as in 6 months it had never altered before. No difference in performance though.

all engines give a bit more (or sometimes a lot more) power in cold weather.
CDTI runs fine in the warm weather, as you'd expect.
Just guessing here, but perhaps there is a problem with your air mass meter - only way to find out is tech 2 i suppose.

Yup, think mine may be the same. Noticed over the last few days the temp creeping up to 90 and the power seems to dip. Took her out this morning when it was a bit cooler and shes all back to normal. Won;t worry to much about it with the British weather!!
