I'd take it to a garage with an air-con machine and get them to check. The place near me does a free check, if your lucky it'll be a simply case of a re-gas, normally about £50.

If its more than a re-gas they should be able to tell you.

Got mine re-gased at vauxhall as it wasn't cold enough, turned out it didn't need re-gasing, just a new pollen filter, the air flow now is 100% better.
Don't forget to hover all the leaves & muck out before you remove the old filter as you don't want it droping down the pipe work, & again when the filter out.

Vauxhalls wanted £32 supply & fit , just to supply was £9.60, & you guess what i chose to do (it took five minutes).

Tho' on another note climite control is crap, much prefer the air con as on my pride & joy (1997 Ford Probe V6 GT), ice cold & it just keeps getting colder

    Cheers
    Hope it helps

Why not try taking out the pollen filter. Only a 2 min job.

Hi! You can buy a refrigerant 134A for re-gas on e-bay and it's much cheaper than going to a garage, but have it check first coz it might not be the refrigerant, might be the expansion valve or a leak on your AC system.

Not one of those poxy DIY cans surely?

Waste of time, IMHO, and only a few pennies cheaper than someone like KwikFit. And the can won't tell you that you have a leak but you'll still have to buy the can, whereas KwikFit won't charge you a penny if their machine finds a leak.

That aside, isn't it sometime soon where the law changes with regard to AC gas and who can sell / buy it?
