    Default Limited Revs

    Hi Guys,

I have a problem when starting my 1.9CDTI150, the Revs seem to be limited to 2K - does this mean the car is in limp mode? every now and again it seems to clear itself and I can drive normally but I understood that once you dropped into limp mode you would remain in limp mode until someone had cleared it from the ECU.

    Default

Depending on the nature of the problem, the ECU will come out of limp mode when the fault clears, or it will remain until the engine is stopped and restarted.

If the fault is detected as soon as the engine starts, the car will remain in limp mode until the fault is rectified.

Codes can remain in the memory of the ECU, but as long as the fault is not present, the car should drive normally.
