    Default Microsoft Exchange

Does anyone have any experience with MS Exchange?

My work email is through that and i'm looking to get it on my iPhone as has the Exchange option on the mail settings.

I can't get it to connect with my account....... i have what i think is the server address where my mail is downloaded from, but entering that doesn;t work!

I think you need the POP3 and SMTP mail server settings (as that's how you would set it up for a home account) - ask your employer's IT department for this however, they may not give you this if it is a personal phone.

At work, go to www.whatismyip.org and note down the IP address.

Use this IP as the "server" and it should connect

Ask your IT for the OWA address, you may need to ask them to enable OWA or OMA on your mailbox if its been disabled.

Then on the Iphone, simply goto settings, mail, add account, microsoft exchange. Enter your email, server address (ie exchange.domain.com, or owa.domain.com) no need for the http:// stuff, then your login details (domain, username and password)

Should then sync all your emails, contacts, calendar etc.

    Simples....

    Its not going to work.

Like already said, if your work has Outlook Web Access then your iPhone can connect to that, but your company would need a BES Server and Blackberry's to directly access remotely to an Exchange Server.

That's only for accessing the OWA, not required for iPhone connections.
