Help! Exhaust light / Judder???

hey

looking for some help advice...

(got a Sig 2.2 direct 2004)

took the car out earlier this evening and drove about 40miles, no issues...

but on way back as soon as I started the car it didn't sound right - driving in 1st / 2nd gear it was juddering a fair bit. The car has never done this before.

I stopped car, re-started and it was still the same - noticed the car exhaust / emissions light was on?

was able to nurse car home, had to high-rev through gears to keep it going but it was definitely lacking power the whole way...

any ideas?

It's going back to garage tomorrow- only 2 months since the chain snapped which was really, really expensive to fix : (

Could be a cylinder mis-fire. I had the same problem.
The engine on my car had been valeted and water had dripped down into the spark plugs, causing 2 of them to short across. A new set of plugs and a clean up under the coil pack sorted it out a treat! I hope you get it sorted easily - altough to be sure of the problem you need to do a diagnosis and get the codes read.

Unfortunately it's been checked and the garage say it's the fuel pump, which will be over £500 to replace : (

after spending approx £2K in the last couple of months fixing it after the timeing chain snapped and getting it serviced this is the last straw, i think it'll be getting traded it - sick of spending money on it
