Try switching your phone to 2G mode, I get issues in my house with my phone preferring to stick to the crap 3G signal over the 100% 2G signal.

fitted something similar in a warehouse a couple of years a go, they had no signal what so ever before, and wasnt much improved after, but there was racking in there so could have stopped it a bit, you might be ok in a house.

Contact ur network and make a report. The service is supposed to be available wherever you stay as long as it's not in a bunker.
SWMBO had an issue like that some time ago and was given 6mths free time on her contract or an option to cancel the contract outright. The cost of the 6mths free time (if you get it) might be able to go towards the purchase of the booster. Goodluck

We have the same problem, when we moved here we were with Orange, but soon found out the only networks that had usable signal were O2 or Virgin. I've never found aerial boosters to be much use. Interested in Birchy's 2G fix, may try that on my wife's phone.

Use the 2g trick regularly, seems modern phone firmware seems to prefer looking for 3g rather than falling back to 2g as it should.

I should explain the 2G thing I suggested....

You see im on the 3 network and 3 don't have any of their own 2G transmitters, so they rent 2G bandwidth from Orange..... Now, my phone tries to stick to 3G because if I used 2G it costs them money.

Other network phones stick to 3G because you can't use video calls and web access on a 2G signal (=complaints)

3G is also a weaker signal it doesn't like buildings, walls and metal objects... Where 2G is much more robust.
