I payed £15 for a set off Ebay and they work as well as any other i have seen. Colour coded them myself and fitted them in about an hour.
I wouldnt bother with LED displays and such as it is really just a gimmick you will get bored of pretty quick and is pretty pointless.
The £15 ones i got from Ebay via china are as good as the Valeo ones i had previously that cost me £80.

I've had 3 of these kits http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CAR-REVERSING-...item2c4dd3deca (1 on previous vec, 2 on current one front and back) and they are fantastic. Colour coded too so make it look better!

I take it they are all ok to paint then? Im looking at pre-painted ones but cant decide between silver or metal grey and just worried there is a big difference compaired to my car which is star silver 3.

Mate its fine to paint them. One coat of undercoat 2 coats of colour then 1 maybe 2 coats of laquer. Just do thin coats. and use a hairdryer in between to speed up the process. (dont hold it to close though) Sprayed mine in about 15 minutes using this process.
I would defo colour code then you know its a perfect colour match. My OCD couldnt cope if the paint match was close but not perfect.

Use a cerial box to mount them for painting. Just poke 4 holes in the box with a knife then pop the sensors in but not all the way so you get good coverage when spraying.
I had never sprayed anything before and my sensors came out perfect.
Here is a pic of them on my old volvo.
