Op-Com 'cannot communicate with ECM'

Hi everyone,

I have a new opcom V2.
Freshly installed win7 laptop no other software except opcom.
Software installed, and installed the drivers from the drivers folder.
Ran test interface and updated to V1.39. and now tests all ok.

When running diagnostics to the car ( vectra C 2005 ) all I get is a click and 'there is no communication with the ECM'

I'm stuck, any advice. I have an emissions (engine)warning light on and trying to diagnose.

Further testing by scanning each individual ECU came up with the following results.
Any help would be appreciated.

As you can see alot of errors relating to CIM, would these be related to my inability to scan both it and engine/abs ecu's?

Any advice would be appreciated...

Assuming that this is a legally purchased version (Not an illegal Chinese Copy), then I would expect Ilexa to give you all the assistance you need.

However, it sounds to me that you have simply not turned on the ignition, or you don't have the car running.

Modules will show as Not Present, if they have not been turned on!! via the ignition switch.

Or, have you fitted any modules, without programming them into your car?...
If you simply have a CIM non communication fault, then try fuse 10 at the end of the dash.

Or try the ABS module connector for clean secure connections.

I have heard of a loose or missing earth tag on the steering collumn, sometimes causing faults to the CIM.

And finally, the CIM may indeed be goosed.

Other than this, as said above, contact Ilexa (the official uk distributor) for any questions you may have.

As said Ilexa are the ones you should be speaking to if it's a genuine version
We don't condone the use of pirated versions so if you have bought it for under £100 off eBay then we can't help sorry.

my mates wouldnt pick up my 05 vec, had the same prob. as he was only using his for his vec b. he updated the firmware & it picked it up straight away.

try connecting the USB lead, opening up the software, then connecting to the OBD port, make suer you push on the Op-com well too.

if not upgrade the software to the latest,
