There all different types mate, 90 degree, 4 pole and 2 pole I believe. I bought all my SMD's from Crazyleds, they do kits so its quite easy. If that fails PM Kman he's the man when it comes to SMD conversion's and will be able to tell you how many off each type to buy and where the best place to get them from is.

just replaced the ones in my vectra with these

the ones on that link are side mounting so would be 90 deg out i think that shop does white LEDs as well

You need 36 plcc4 for the GID screen and 14 of the ones on ebay for the speedo, or you could just use plcc2 and mount them at 90 degrees.

i dont get the difference to be honest, 90 degrees? do you mean so they dont shine light straight onto screen?

i want to do both speedo and gid screen, as they will be bright white

By 90 it means instead of the light shining straight up it shines parallel to the PCB.
