Default Code reader in the wiltshire area.

    HI,
Is there anybody with a code reader in the Devizes, Andover, Amesbury area that could help me out. I have a 1.9 CDTI 150 with a very bad flat spot to it low down in the rev range and the spanner and car light. I suspect the EGR has given up the ghost but want to try and make sure before I fork out for a new one. I have cleaned it using the excellent how 2 on here but still no joy. Any help would be appreciated

Have you checked all hoses for holes, splits , have you tried to read the code manually from the car ??

It gets stranger, unplugged the EGR today as suggested in some other threads and got the EML, as It said I would. Then plugged the EGR in again, spanner light disappeared, power is back to normal but now have the EML on permanently. Anyone have any suggestions/advice as to how to get rid of the EML?
I did check the vacuum hoses and any others to/from the turbo I could see and no holes or splits.
Cheers lizard I may take you up on that if needed.
