So, after getting hacked off having to put some elbow grease into washing my car, decided to try and get serious with the mofo. Picked up a Meguirs DA (thanks to john.robertson for letting me know I could buy it locally) and a snow foam lance and some chemical goodies.
Car started off at 10am looking like this:
Got a rinse off and a nice big coating of foam (what a toy, I foamed my mates house.....)
Wheels looking a bit rough, and some battle scars from avoiding an ambulance.
After foam and a wash using the 2 bucket method for the first time (well, one bucket and an empty storage bin, must buy another bucket) looked pretty clean.
Next up a spot of Claying, this muck is from the bonnet.
Grew a set of balls and broke out the meg 220, and got a pathetic attempt at a half and half shot. Never thought part of car detailng kit would be a decent camera.........
And bonnet after a wee while with the DA and Meguirs #82. I think I'll need something with more cutting power, still scratches there, swirls are a lot less though. I'll need to read a guide on how to use a DA properly....
After the rest of the body was done with the DA, and the feeling returned in my hands (man that thing shakes!) I gave the car another wash to clear the dust, then some Poorboys Black Hole and some Collinite (446? I think. Theres a lot of numbers involved!)
And finally, at 6pm in all her glory!
Next time i'll make an effort to clean the inside too......
