    confused Bonnet won't open!

I recently had my timing belt changed on my 3.2 V6. The day after the job was done I looked under the bonnet and then closed it again. However, since then I can't open the bonnet. The lever under the dash seems to be stuck in the open position. Is this problem related to the timing belt change, or is it pure coincidence?

People's thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Should,nt think it is directly related m8, more a case of how your mechanics went about changing your timing belt.
Some mechanics will dismantle the front end of the car to make there job easier .
and what has probably happened in this case is the bonnet release retainers were not done up correctly and the cable has slipped .
Not sure on the setup on an aussie spec 3.2 but can you reach the top bar with your fingers through the grill.
if you can, try to get a long flat blade screwdriver onto the return spring and force it outwards with a hard push or strike end of screwdrivewr with a hammer to release the spring.

    Thumbs up

Thanks Bobssignum and John Wake. I ended up taking my car back to the guys that changed the timing belt and they fixed the problem for no charge. They said that "the cable had come out of its holder and that they put it back into position and adjusted the cable".

    Anyway, it's all good now!
