    Default Shark Fin Aerials

    All,

Stumbled across some shark fins on ebay. Don't look like usual plastic rubbish. Look to be very similar fitting and wiring. See you what you think?

There is a lot of cr4p ones about, mainly stuck on silver mondeos (old shape). These look identical to the Saab 9-3 & 9-5 aerials. Also the wiring and fitting nuts look very similar to my old C's fittings. I'm fancying one for the Meriva!

i thought they would maybe suit the vec as the rooflike dips a bit like the beemer. know what you mean though its a fine line between looking classy and barryboy'd mondeo lol meriva would look good with one i reckon. how are you finding it? i am fancying a new corsa vxr when they come out. 200bhp standard in a wee car .... fun fun fun

i think that looks really nice, especially if it were to be colour coded - wouldn't stick out as much then.

Where's your rear washer jet on the Meriva Paul? As you know on the Vec C's it's part of the aerial mounting, so these would be a no no for me.

good point Alex, had forgotten about that.

has anyone toyed with getting shot of the rear windscreen wiper and just replacing it with a rubber gromet? it spoils the rear end IMO - i know its meant to be functional and not there for aesthetics, but stil.

and then with no rear wiper you could get this aerial!

Its not part of the aerial base on the Meriva Alex. It's mounted on the topside of the tailgate. I think i'll drop the headlinning down and make sure it will go.
