    Default that cant be already.....

hi guys, cleaned my boost censor around 4weeks ago, just took it off to have a look at it and it is absoulutely covered with none of the yellow showing already, now as it attaches to the manifold which i had done last weeks would the old manifold with the swirl bar off make this collect carp as quick, gonna clean again now but should it get coked this quick? would it be the old shot manifold that done it and a clean now with the new manifold in place keep better for much longer?

    any comments always gratefully received

its the mix of egr gasses and your oil breather system spraying oil into the inlet manifold this causes the crud build up i had same issue as you had inlet manifold replaced and now i have blanked my egr with a plate with a 5mm hole in to keep the light off

and also vented my oil breather system to atmosphere to stop the oil mist and spray going into the manifold i will have a serch on here nd throw up the links for you to read

breather post i know its a lng read but worth it i hve changed the orginal design in the 1st page but if you read it all then you will find out how and why

this is the gaskets you can use or make your own from a coke can or sheet aluminium like mine and drill a 6mm hole in

hope this helps and let meknow what your plans are thanks

mate i have semi blanked th oval side with the fiat gasket, and today out of cadburs hero tim made ( well kind of) a plate to sit square gasket side, as i didnt want to fully blank i have drilled 7 6mm holes in the middle and i still have the light on the bottom right of the dash? exhaust light isnt it. will it go its self or should it go straight off as i thought that would be plenty to keep it off

had already read the breather post but thanks, had the light on before and it went off after a while but i cant remember if it was when i put the first semi blanking plate on or when i did the swirl valve mod and it didnt work, stopped the motor on the 3rd valve moving which brought limp home mode on, so you dont think it will clear on its own? or should i put more holes in it to see? if doesnt work i will just take out i think

you have more than enough holes mate it could be a diffrnt fault than the egr your best off getting the codes read and reset the blanking plat should work with just one hole in as it only neeeds a trickle flow to keep the light off

even with the egr blanked your manifold will be clogged up in a few 1000 miles due to the oil and heat from breather

since my blanking and oil breather my manifold is squeaky clean after 6000miles no dposits at all
