    Default chrome boot strip?

    hi all

    just a quickie, could someone tell me how the chrome boot strip is held on?

    Just held on by 4 or 5 nuts I believe. If you open your boot, you'll see one either side, and you have to remove the cover on the inside boot lid to get to the others. Just undo them and it should come off

    4 nut's 1 each side of the tailgate / bootlid, 1 each side of the lock mech behind the carpet and 4 plastic clip's that about 90% of the time break when you pull the trim off

    Yep, they broke when I changed mine!

    the clips broke on mine when i took mine off, but to be honest they are not really needs as the 4 nuts holding it on are more than enough to hold it securely

    as above, the new clips can be bought via Vx but you dont strictly need them to refit the chrome strip.. just be carefull removing it as you can easily distort the strip!
