    Default Kumho Tyres

Morning all i bought a set of Kumho ECSTA SPT,s for me new wheels awhile ago was wondering if any else has noticed that when ya need to get in a gap fast and give it a bit of welly the wheels spin till it grips, im talking about the road being dry aswell ? i done alot of research and the kumho,s had good ratings in all catagories , was just wondering maybe its me im a sh*t driver lol or has any 1 else noticed this ...ps i know there mid range but i was exspecting a bit better grip to be honest. cheers Ralph <---- see even that car grips better than mine lol

    Wheel spin
Presumably your SRI doesn't have traction control
It is up to the driver to control the gas then

However I have noticed that wheel spin increases when the tread on the front tyres falls below 3mm

I've got them on my B & C Estates, the C doesn't have TC and it will only spin when I pull away, usually when I least neeed it to , the B has TC and won't spin unless I unleash the TC button lol , then it just spins for fun lol

    Kumho tyres
Can you post the specification on them
tyre size, speed and load rating, and UTQG rating (marked as treadwear traction temperature)

What did you have previous to that?

I suspect they are very hard tyre, compared to what you had before
I notice this when using Michelin tyres, as they are harder than Good Year
The side effect is an increase in wheel spin

had kumhos on 2 previous cars and couldnt really fault them. bearing in mind brand new tyres have a coating on them so they wont grip the same. once they wear in they are normally ok tho.

Had them on past cars and never had any problems with them. Highly rated them to be honest.
