19" dont do any harm to the car ..........only to your wallet when you have to change the tyres ...

Ok, my thoughts... for optimum comfort, road holding etc you go 17". However in my opinion the 18" look aestheticaly right. The 19" draw the eye away from the car too much. Also on 'top gear' the vxr8 did a better lap when they junked the 19" in favour of 18". And as above, tyres'll cost you more too! Just my thoughts not intended to offend the happy owners with 19" wheels on their rides, it's all down to your personal preference realy.

My Dad has the 17" SRI wheels and I have 18" vxr replicas. There is bearly any difference between them in terms of ride (it is noticably a little harsher, but not much) and yet the 18" ones are unbelievably better in terms of handling.

I wopuldn't hesitate to recomend 18" wheels. Personally though I would go for 19" if you can afford them!

I was struggling with this question before i put my wheels on.
I ended up putting 18's because of the road conditions and the fact the wife drives the car, but now wish I had gone with the 19's

In fact if anyone wants to make me an offer for 18" BBS LM copies with 2 new tyres

Got 18" on my Vectra and they feel perfect. 19" Is a bit harsh for me.

i have 19s with 235/35/19s and lowered on 45 pi's and the ride is very hard, handles really well but you feel every stone/bump etc, cant vouch for 18s because i havnt ever had them, but the differnce between 17s and 19s is massive in ride comfort.
