just to show what seals im talking about...
the bad seal
The good seal
Can that be bought somewhere?
could try main stealer, that prob only place for the actual Vx one,
Ken, i doubt if VX/opel would sell the seal separate to the glass,
phone one of thelocal windscreen fitting companies they generally have an excess of the sealer they use when replacing screens/windows etc in a tube and would probably give it to you as there paid for when replacing a full screen via insurers... its going to be the best sealant available
0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
Best bet is to use some sealant to bead around the apeture where the original foam seal is and fit the glass back. This is a common problem when removing the quarter glasses and the seal should really be replaced, but whether the dealers do it seperate is another thing.
humm EPC dont have the seal (or atleast i dont know where to find it). I would prefeable to use the oem seal, as if i remove the windows its simpel.
other wise i might be able, when removed one rear quarter, if not bad, i could reuse that, but then i would not be able to switch back again.
If you have any windscreen/glazing companies round your area then ask them for some "damming strip" its the same stuff that is used on those quarter glasses and I use it at work. It's available in different thicknesses and is adhesive on one side too.
pm me your address and I'll send you a few metres ken
PM sent
