Default Anyone had to have a clutch master cylinder?

As above really, I've done everything else on the clutch system but first thing in the morning the clutch has sunk, there's no leaks that I can find but it is like its getting air in somewhere, the only thing that I can put it down to now is the master cylinder so just wondered if anyone else has had one go?

sounds the same as what ive got wrong
drawing air in with no noticable leak

i bled it up and held pressure on the clutch pedal and it sank slowly

done it a bit to hard and snapped the bloomin plastic pushrod so a master is about to be on order anyway - removed the clutch master cylinder and it was damp under the boot so heres hoping thats the only cause of my pedal losing pressure.

if it persists then its concentric slave cylinder time along with clutch

i got a quote from mr clutch autocentre and they want over £1500 to do the job cause they want to change the dmf aswell. -- nothing wrong with the dmf of clutch.

i asked them what price is the dmf and they said 954 quid or something WTF ive seen them half that price
and they price the csc at 160 quid again ive seen them half that price.

think ill be doing it myself if it comes to it

My master cylinder went. I've nae idea pretty much most of what you said haha. But one day my clutch just broke, couldn't get into any gears and it turned out the master cylinder was the problem. £25 for a second hand one (I'm poorer than poor :-/) and it was good as new. Never had any bother since. Well wi my clutch anyway :-/ ha. Engine needs stripped in Easter hols coz it's going through oil pretty bad! I have the worst luck wi vauxhalls...yet still loyal to them!!

I had it changed on mine, the pedal just dropped to the floor and wouldn't come back up, they changed the master but it wasn't the problem so ended up with a new dmf and clutch as it was rattling quite badly, cost £800 for all 3, I must admit though the problem Is still there a little, sometimes the biting point drops and the pedal dosent come back to the top, you have to flick it back up with your toe.

well changed master cylinder with a brand new one and it wasnt the issue

    had to change the csc
    all solved

it must draw air in through there as i cleaned and checked al lines for leaks

inside bellhousing was damp but not soaked

old unit was the original gm with 88k miles
    the bearing had play
and the hydraulic telescopic bit had side thrust / worn plastig guide bushing.
