Mini DV Camera

I recently bought one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT has anyone had problems bieng able to view recorded video? after recording some video i have connected the camera to my PC and its not getting recognised, i have tried allsorts of ways eg formatting the card etc and my PC still wont see the camera, are people who have bought one able to view their recordings via the usb cable, as all mine seems to do is charge up.

i have one similar and it shows up in the my computer section as another drive, i then open it and copy the files to windows, then view them with media player.

Im not getting anything in My Computer, even in my Device Manager theres nowt.

Do you have a card reader? If so, have you tried reading the memory card directly (instead of plugging the camera in)?

did it come with a driver disc, most do? if it did and still doesn't work, see if you can try it in another computer. some have difficulty seeing these devices. i have a pc that wont recognise usb sticks.

Now that is weird my pc just started seeing it, before, the blue led was flashing fast when it didnt see it, but now the blue led is fully on and now it sees it, sorted, saves me giving the seller another ear bashing, dont you just hate it when things go like that.

mine has been sent back for exchange. i had the exact same problems. its worked fine at first then just wouldnt connect to the pc.

The one I have, the little black one mentioned in another thread, sometimes it locks up in webcam mode and the only way to fix it is either having the webcam drivers installed on your PC OR allow the battery to discharge fully so that it turns itself off!

Might be the same hardware inside?
